Alternative Conceptions follows guidelines of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine in selecting candidates for its Ovum Donor Program. We eliminate women who have medical and social histories which make them unacceptable and seek healthy women whose families do not have genetic problems that could be passed on to a child. Bivian Marr, RNP, founder of Alternative Conceptions and Director of Client Services, has 20 years of groundbreaking experience in Invitro fertilization working closely with many pioneers in the field. Her professional team at Alternative Conceptions is committed to the Future Parents throughout this decision making and treatment process.

Our donors are women who are motivated by a desire to help couples in their quest for parenthood and who are motivated to complete the medical regimen by carefully following directions and attending their medical appointments.

We realize that ethnicity, body type and lifestyle play an important part in the donor selection process. Alternative Conceptions has a large group of donors from various wholesome backgrounds who are willing to help Future Parents bring their child into the world.

Through a careful selection process donor candidates are required to provide personal and family history by completing our detailed questionnaire. This information, along with photographs of the donor, is provided to the Future Parents to help them in making a donor selection.

Each applicant to our program receives complete information about the process and understands any risks or complication that could occur. Our psychologist meets with each selected donor and provides a written report about her mental suitability for being a donor.

Upon selection, the donor signs a contract which delineates the donor's responsibilities and clearly states that the Future Parents receive all the eggs produced by the donor in the specified treatment cycle.

Alternative Conceptions acts for the Future Parents in establishing an account from which payments are made for psychological, genetic and legal services for the donor in executing the Donor Contract. We are available for support, supervision and communication throughout this process and assist the donor in necessary ways to fulfill all her responsibilities.

Donor assistance gives women the highest chance of becoming a parent over all other infertility treatment. Alternative Conceptions is excited about helping in a vital way.
