As a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Alternative Conceptions follows the high ethical principles of the medical profession and uses guidelines set by ASRM in daily operations. Our objective is to provide a positive personal experience to each Parent, Surrogate and Egg Donor. We strive to improve the standard of fertility management and are committed to the reproductive success of our clients. This is accomplished by offering only high quality Surrogates and Egg Donors. We ensure that both Donors and Surrogates are well selected and given fully informed consent.

Bivian Marr is the founder of Alternative Conceptions. Bivian has been in the field of infertility and ovum donation since its beginning.  Her experience includes co-authoring relevant research papers and establishing one of the country’s first ovum donation programs in 1984. As a Registered Nurse Practitioner, Bivian provides insight and guidance in both medical and human aspects of the field of infertility and ovum donation. She brings a wealth of valuable experience and continues to keep her knowledge current on developments by attending professionals meetings as well as being a member of several professional societies. The medical field continues to benefit from the knowledge and research conducted by Bivian over the past 20 years. Parents, Surrogates and Egg Donors tap into her wealth of knowledge and experience through Alternative Conceptions.  

Bivian is joined by her husband Warren Marr, who serves as the Business Manager of Alternative Conceptions. Warren adds many years of experience in marketing and sales through his successful career in the consumer products industry where he dealt with both national and international clients. Additionally, Warren brings an intimate knowledge of IT to the Agency and has developed its business plan as well as built the infrastructure to serve our clients in an optimal manner.

Together, Bivian and Warren have developed a professional and nurturing agency. Through Bivian’s successful career and extensive experience in the field of infertility, Alternative Conceptions  is an international agency comprised of a professional team of warm, caring individuals who approach all aspects of ovum donation and surrogacy with sensitivity, respect and dignity.
